National Forest
Adjacent to Montaluce is the Chattahoochee National Forest. Spreading across 18 north Georgia counties, this national treasure’s vast resources cover almost 750,000 acres. Within its borders are Georgia’s highpoint, Brasstown Bald, the headwaters of every major North Georgia river, hundreds of waterfalls, abundant flora and fauna, and some of the best outdoor recreation in the United States.

Outdoor recreation abounds in and around Montaluce. As part of our master plan, more than 60% of Montaluce’s 400 acres are preserved as natural habitat. Enjoy the many national parks, waterfalls, mountain biking, fishing, and canoeing in the mountains, lakes and rivers of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

The North Georgia Mountains provide a beautiful landscape that is ideal for a challenging golf course. With rolling hills and an abundance of lakes and streams, these Dahlonega courses preserve natures beauty and will satisfy all skill levels; from the beginner to the avid golf player.
