Stefano comes to Montaluce from the Campodelsole Winery,in Bertinoro, Italy in the Friuli wine-growing region. Montaluce is truly blessed to have Stefano as a part of our team. After graduating from Instituto Tecnico Agrario di Gradisca D' Isonzo in Italy, Stefano served as Winemaker and General Manager at several wineries throughout Italy. In 1999, the Zonin family of Italy brought Stefano to Barboursville Vineyards in Virginia where Stefano plied his skills in winemaking until 2005. Barboursville Vineyards in one of the East Coast's largest and most award winning wineries. Upon his return to Italy, Stefano has served as General Manager and Winemaker at Campodelsole Winery, a state of the art DOCG (Italy's highest ranking) category winery.

Maria Peterson
Maria spent her childhood on a farm in South Africa with 6 siblings.
While their agricultural practices were diverse it was the wines that
captivated her interest. According to Maria, "the French
maintain that a day without wine is a day without sun" and this is a
sentiment she agrees with totally.
Maria came to the US having worked with wineries in South Africa,
France and Australia. Once here she learned the distribution
business in Chicago and then served as the assistant winemaker at
Rutherford Hill in Napa Valley. The breadth of her experience
promises a great future at Montaluce. |
